The Office of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Affairs provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services and works to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, faculty, and staff, their families and friends, and the campus community at large.

Each year they collaborate with campus organizations, academic departments, and the other units of the Division of Student Affairs to present a variety of exciting programs and special events that feature leading authors, academicians, public figures, and performers who celebrate the diversity of our LGBT communities. They also offer popular ongoing film, skills-building, and faculty lecture series.

If you're a student in the UROP or Project Outreach programs, you can receive academic credit for your efforts as a researcher or volunteer in our office. They also supervise graduate internships and practica for students in the Schools of Education, Information, and Social Work.

The professional staff and peer-facilitated speakers bureau offer excellent in-service workshops about sexual orientation and gender identity issues for University departments, classrooms, and campus and community organizations. Regardless of University affiliation, all of the programs are open to anyone who is interested in learning about LGBT lives, issues, and cultures.
